Samantha Menapace will be serving as a peer organizer at University Lutheran Church in 2016-17. She is a recent graduate of Furman University in Greenville, South Carolina, where she studied philosophy and religion. Because she loved both the academic and practical aspects of these disciplines, she decided to continue studying these fields in graduate school, and is currently in her first year at Harvard Divinity School in the Master of Divinity program. Prior to moving to Boston, Samantha worked for a campus ministry in South Carolina, and lived in an intentional Christian community affiliated with the ministry. She hopes to continue fostering her interest in the intersection of academia and the church in her role as peer organizer, as well as utilize the skills she gained from her previous experiences with campus ministries in this position at UniLu. In addition her passion for philosophy and religion, Samantha enjoys traveling to new places, cooking (and eating) new recipes, reading, and keeping up with the political news.
