Karen Turley has been a member at University Lutheran since 1995, and has served on the Church Council, as a deacon, and on a number of church committees. She teaches high school English at the Marie Philip School in Framingham, which serves Deaf students from infancy through grade 12+. In addition to teaching, Karen has presented with co-workers and independently on American Sign Language/English bilingual-bicultural education at conferences and in professional publications. She holds a master’s degree in Deaf Education from Boston University and a bachelor’s degree in English from Miami University (Ohio). Karen grew up in Ohio and Michigan and has lived in Cambridge since 1996 along with her husband and daughter.
