Chasity Jones, UniLu’s communications and volunteer coordinator for 2018-19, is a master of theological studies (M.T.S.) student at the Boston University School of Theology. She has just returned from the Pacific Northwest (PNW), where she was a faith-based community organizer responsible for organizing various faith traditions and faith communities across the state of Washington. It was during this time that she became passionate about racial justice and Black Liberation, which is what inspired her to pursue an M.T.S. Before her advocacy work in the PNW, she gained experience in direct service work as a wraparound facilitator (primary care manager) in the social work field. Chasity is also a yoga teacher and student of yoga who helped develop the first weekly yoga for people of color in the city of Seattle. She is a lover of sunsets and water, and a poet.
