GLBTQ and Allies Ministry

UniLu’s GLBTQ and Allies Ministry gathers on the second Thursday of each month at 6:30 pm at UniLu for Holden Vespers, a service of evening prayer, followed by discussion. Discussion topics vary, but are usually GLBTQ topics related to being Christian, church, being GLBTQ, coming out, and more.

Once a month we also gather for social events such as dinner, potluck, brunch, a show, bowling, or a movie.

Join us! All are welcome on the second Thursday of each month at UniLu. Email GLBTQ@unilu.org with questions or to inquire about gatherings.

Since 1989, University Lutheran has been a Reconciling in Christ congregation of the ELCA. As the ReconcilingWorks “Vision for the Church” puts it, “Freed by God’s grace, the body of Christ on earth leads a joyous dance of transformation, integrating sexuality and spirituality, justice and mercy. Through continuous reformation, the Church embraces in holiness and into wholeness people of all sexual orientations, gender identities, and gender expressions, strengthening us for authentic, visible, faithful lives. Dedicated to radical reconciliation, the Church falls into the heart of God’s passionate intent, co-creating a world without outcasts, calling all to serve as guests and hosts at God’s table of blessing and power.”
